Bajaj Capital was incorporated as a company in the year 1965, followed by the introduction of an innovative financial instrument, Company Fixed Deposit. EIL Ltd. (Oberoi Hotels, then known as Associated Hotels of India Ltd.) becomes the first company to raise resources through Company Fixed Deposits.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The following year, Bajaj Capital expanded its product range to include all UTI schemes and Government saving schemes in addition to Company Fixed Deposits.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The year 1991, was a remarkable year for Bajaj Capital, when SBI issued India Development Bonds for NRIs. Bajaj Capital became the top mobiliser with collections of over US $20 million.</p>
